- A Blog by Ryan Robinson about Marketing, SEO, and Blogging (ryrob)
Blogging, marketing, search engine optimization, writing, business, and freelancing are some of the subjects covered on my personal site, which now has over half a million monthly visitors. It wasn't always like this, even though I am now an example of a thriving site that makes $20,000 to $50,000 monthly.
When I first began out as a content marketer in 2014, I had grand ambitions of delivering high-quality material gleaned from my experiences running various side companies (like this early guide on How to Create a Product Nobody Wants and Lose $6,537).
As the number of people reading my personal blog grew over the years, I saw a trend in the issues my readers wanted answers about: how to grow a blog audience and make money from readers. For that reason, I've decided to devote the most of my instructional material today to covering the subject of blogging in depth.
Here is what has worked for me as a successful blogger, to give you an idea of what to expect:
- Clear, user-friendly, comprehensive instructional materials: About five years ago, I made the decision to dedicate my site to providing comprehensive guidelines on all things related to blogging. I am still learning and updating these tips. For that reason, I have written a plethora of in-depth articles meant to serve as tutorials for aspiring bloggers. These articles cover topics such as creating a blogging budget, launching a blog, attracting readers, and monetizing your material. Using that strategy has also improved my content's search engine rankings.
- There are a ton of free tools that I've made for bloggers: Building on the success of my artificial intelligence content creation suite RightBlogger, I am currently working on the release of a plethora of blogging tools that will be available forever for free. These tools include my free keyword research tool, an AI article writer, a generator for blog ideas and titles, a paragraph rewriter, a domain name generator, and many more.
- Most of my blog posts don't cost anything: I want everyone who is looking for freedom to have the same type of success that blogging has given me—a strong instrument to break free from the confines of a regular 9 to 5 job. Consequently, you won't find any paid advertisements for the vast majority of my works on my site. The one and only genuine exception to this rule is my comprehensive course, Built to Blog, in which I go far more into each topic than I do in my public blog posts. In my compilation of the top blogging courses, you can find more information on Built to Blog.
- Honest and genuine: Whether it's the transparent financial data in my blog revenue reports, the modest counsel I provide in my YouTube videos, or the blogging blunders I've made, I'm the first to admit it all on my personal blog. I make sure to explicitly state this purpose on my homepage and respond to each and every comment posted on my site, even if it takes me weeks to do so due to my hectic schedule 😊. How hard I've tried to be an ordinary person here—someone who is always learning and trying and who is right there with you on this incredible trip through life—is a big reason why my blog has been so successful. However, I have no plans to convert my site into a lifestyle blog in the near future.
2.Content Marketing Copyblogger
Following this, we have Copyblogger, one of the first content marketing blogs ever published online. Though it didn't launch until 2006, creator Brian Clark had been generating revenue via content marketing since 1998.
What began as a single man's desire to share his knowledge of content marketing with the world soon blossomed into Copyblogger, a global authority on the subject.
It might be wise to model one's business model after Copyblogger, which attracts over 500,000 unique visitors each month and brings in eight figures in income.

Thus, how does Copyblogger function?
- Copywriting strategies that drive results. What they preach, Copyblogger does, from headlines to blog entries. Apparently, it's effective. On a side note, you may use my headline generator tool to create free blog posts right now.
- Countless helpful materials available at no cost. The lack of useful and practical material is the main reason why most blogs lose subscribers. What readers need to succeed is precisely what Copyblogger provides.
- Superb group cohesion. Copyblogger is more than a blog; it's a group of enthusiastic learners that share your passion for the subject.
3. Digital marketing platform Hubspot
Hubspot, a dominant player in the software as a service industry, has one of the most popular blogs in its specialty and beyond.
Since its founding in 2005 by Dharmesh Shah and Brian Halligan, the company's primary goal has been to assist companies in mastering inbound marketing.
The marketing, sales, and customer success categories form the backbone of HubSpot's blog. Essentially, it's three blogs in one, serving their three primary identities.

What sets Hubspot out as a top example of a blog?
- A blog with a strategic focus. Hubspot has made science out of blogging. Discovering what makes entertainment really epic required them to engage in extensive original study. They produce around 20 blogs a month, and each one is tailored to a certain character and serves a specific function.
- Solid group of people. With over 150 user groups spread across 21 countries, Hubspot has been able to expand their brand's reach.
- Energetic writing. The material that Hubspot produces is one of their strongest points. Marketers may succeed with well-structured, authoritative, and practical content. This is why marketers from all backgrounds now turn to the Hubspot blog for advice.
